our level of sacrifice is hidden. it is in the form of elevated prices in building materials, perhaps fuel and gasoline, and perhaps interest rates. also i think the lethargy of the economy is related too.

we are paying the price but it is not obvious that we are.

so most folks dont relate it to the war, and the repubs blame it on clinton.
