Yeah, that is what condescending East Coast sailors call powerboaters. Also, it seems that more sailors than powerboaters are scotch drinkers, hence the lame joke

I myself, not wanting to offend anyone, both stink and sail and drink pretty much anything available

Blow boaters seem to be to cheap to drink scotch.

That's funny--the thread is so far off-track (yes I take partial responsibility--who cares?), I actually had to go to the top to put your post in a frame of reference.

I guess it is because there are fewer of them here, but Jews seem much less militant in the South. My Jewish friends are hard to identify as Jews unless you have been told and the local Jewish pre-school and kindergarten downtown is where a lot of the rich white protestant rednecks scramble to send their kids! My experiences farther north on the East Coast is that Jews are very cliquish and don't tend to have a lot of non-Jewish friends and that the Catholics seem to be predisposed to dislike them.

Ha, I was going to ask her "What the heck does that have to do with pirates and Rum and stinkpotters?" But I remembered.

speaking of off-topic, I read that game warden joke you posted somewhere else to some friends of mine that got tapped last week (non-working lights type of violation--not fish and game). That was funny!
