Not if you're next to my 300SDL. Actually, I agree with you; the Segway is a neat idea where cycling or walking isn't an option.

FWIW, my ex has almost completely converted to cycling and rarely ever uses her car except for travel to other towns or travel late at night.

Save those knees man. Ever run, uh, any marathons on that thing?

The barometer reads heroism rapidly turning sheepishness.

Overall they are more maneuverable than bikes, you still get a dose of fresh air, and then you can usually bring the Segway indoors, often right to your desk at work. Obviously this scenario doesn't work for everyone, but no single mode of transportation ever solved everyone's problems.

Oh, and a 12-foot wide car lane can be split into 3 Segway lanes.
Good points, I must admit. Speaking of hills -- sweating on a bike -- how does the Segway do on hills?

We Segway'd up hills where people were walking their bikes. There's a round lcd dial that shows your battery charge status, and on big hills you can see it go down a click or 2. Some of the charge gets regenerated when you go back down the hill though.
