I don't give a damn, one way or the other if truckinik in facts owns a fleet of freigthliners or a fleet of burros. Everyone is entitled to their fantasy, however outlandish or real it may be.

But the two statments quoted above DO sound like threats.

It would be real easy for truckinik to put the whole issue to rest by simply providing evidence to support all of his claims

1. Current pictures of the Lambo (or Lambos);

2. Current pictures of the weapons cache; and

3. Current pictures of real estate holdings.

JD is a lawyer, nothing works better than direct evidence to shut the other side.

If you want to get JD "off your back" don't make personal threats, just prove your case with hard evidence and be done with it.

I too have no dog in this fight -- but I will say this -- I think a lot of the people here have a very active imagination when it comes to their "life" -- we'll never know if it is true or not -- what we do know is that, for most of us, it is a virtual experience, and should be considered as such. So there are members that here that may or may not have airplanes, trucking companies, Italian sports cars, millions and millions and dollars, etc... but the point remains -- in the end, who really cares?

It's the opposite in my experience I have met many forum members and have close personal and business relationships and have found all of them be the somewhat humble on the forum in comparison to their real life.

One thing that you cannot grasp is many of us have personal relationships outside the forum, in real life. I know you don't have any or many of those but there is a vast, strong network of screen names that are friends outside the forum doors. Authenticity is there whether you want to believe it or not, just because you are on the outside does not mean everyone else is.

The forum is a virtual vehicle for us to chew the fat and laugh at social retards.

The part I forgot is this forum is full of extraordinary people with extraordinary skills, read about G-Forces in the acrobat thread, learn about botany, small engines, law, real estate ect ect ect. I don't want to leave anyone out. This forum is better than Wiki. That is why I cam back.

Fantasy is one thing. Making explicit, or implicit threats, is quite another.

and like Howitzer, I've personally met several forum members. Their lives are far more interesting than they let on here. In fact, in my own personal experience, the people with the MOST money talk very little about their money. They don't want anyone (read, IRS) know how much scratch they have.

If someone makes extratrodinary claims on the internet and people call you on it, don't get defensive or come up with excuses. Just post pics!! Is it that difficult? You can't even prove anything to a moderator who lives in your own town!

Cease the bravado or step up to the plate.

Per my other post, I've met many forum members and will be meeting a few more this summer. I've spoken with some on the phone as well, who I have yet to meet.

I once challenged cmac to a boxing match. Three rounds, heavy gloves.

That actually sounds like fun...

This was much more serious -- the NJ State Police got involved -- and I ended it before it got out of hand. I figured the guy would learn. He still gives me some trouble... but nothing significant.

The part I never understood is how this type of person was allowed to stay on the forum and be cherished in some respects...
