Bro-man, I grew up in the Mormon Church, where folks rarely passed up an opportunity to reinforce the notion among each other that they were indeed worshipping in the only true church on the face of the earth. It dawned on me at some point that most all the other churches felt the same way about themselves. It was clear to me that all but a few (which few?) had to be wrong or in fact all were wrong.

A nearly identical phenomena is this notion that one's own country is the best, the greatest, bar none. It doesn't take much imagination to christen one's own land the greatest. Iranians will tell you that theirs is the greatest nation. Japanese will tell you that . . . . . . The French will tell you . . . . . . and so on ad nauseum.

Dude, you don't miss a chance to be an idiot. Always pushing the Lord Jesus Christ as savior, then you get all obnoxious and self-righteous about the Mormon church. It has its warts, to be sure, but plenty of decent people who are trying to live the good, honest life are among its congregants.

I think the "only true church" stuff is bogus (JC said "where two or more are gathered, there shall I be," didn't say anything about any one true church) about as bogus as your self-righteousness. But I've long since realized that there are many, many worse ways to have grown up than in the Mormon church.

Whoa!!!....I'm self righteous because "I" trust in Jesus Christ as my saviour??..

Why do you defend the Mormon church?...when you know its doctrine is false....Being a "good person" has nothing to do with "salvation"....for "ALL" have fallen short of the glory of God... Faith...Faith alone..is what finds one favor with the LORD!!

The Question the LORD (Jesus Christ) asks is....Who do you say I am??

Which part of the Mormon doctrine is false? What do you know about what they do or believe in?

I mean, much of it, or parts anyway are bogus, but they revere JC about as much as any other Christian church.

Your self-righteousness derives from thinking you know JC's mission and meaning from top to bottom, without a doubt, 'take a number the rest of you clueless fools.'

That sounds all nice and dandy. I agree with you on being privileged to live in this country and the need for gratitude adjustments.

Yet, to run an entire nation's economy on the bases of ever growing Usury, is not going to work in the long run.

And, I doubt that Jesus is going to come from the heavens and save us from the problems we'll be stuck with, in the upcoming future.
