Angry Worst roads?

Any road within the zip codes beginning 700 and 701. Mainly because of the road surfaces. I suspect the state of LA doesn't hire professional pavers; it merely asks high-school dropouts to attempt to pave the roads and interstates. ("Go on, Lavon, lessee what you can do wi' dat pothole!")

Of course, at rush and other hours, almost everything is too jammed. This is what comes of allowing morons to breed without supervision: more morons, all with driver's licenses.

The transit route through East Germany. The only way to make it from Southern West-Germany to West-Berlin. 6 hours of potholes.

It's getting to be like Belize City in 1977.

What are the prospects for NOLA given a Repo governor? Any rumors?

Pa turnpike from just west of valley forge thru to new jersey (with the possible exception of that stretch from ambler to willow grove where its like 8 lanes wide now), and anywhere on I-78 in the right lane; so rutted and deformed from the absurd amoutn of truck traffic it is downright dangerous to drive

While Fort Churchill Rd is the worst excuse for a road I've had to drive my own vehicle, I should mention ASR Uranium in Al Anbar, Iraq. To give you a hint of how bad it is, it's something like 30 miles long, and the last time I ran it it took three or four hours not counting the stop for the IED we hit. I was driving an 8-speed and used every gear from 1st to 6th multiple times. Most of the time was spent in 2nd through 4th at speeds from a fast walk to about 25 mph. Uranium has more pothole (or blast hole) than it has road.

I think that takes the cake... as for me it would have to be the racetrack around minneapolis.. I would have to say that drivers there are even worse than massachusetts drivers...

Who on this planet can beat that? Hell, even extraterrestrials can't beat that.

LOL, my sister studies at Bryn Mawr and on weekends she volunteers at the Rodin Museum, in other words she has to use the Schuykill Expressway. She has nicknamed the Expressway 'The Sure Kill Expressway' LOL.

I95, from NJ-MA.

Cape Code turnover day during the summer is the worst; on Friday you just cannot go north its a parking lot, on Sunday it would be quicker to walk.

Deep down I think how great $10 a gallon gas would be, the highway would be empty!

I'm so lucky I don't have to do that every day.
I am so glad discovered Rt 123 (Ox Road). When going from Fairfax to Potomac Mills, and points beyond, I used to needlessly take rte 66 to the beltway and then to I-95, taking me miles out of my way.

I-10 (Katy Freeway) in Houston. Built in stages between 1954 and 1968, this 23 mile long strech of freeway was only 3 lanes in each direction to Katy, TX (expanded to 3 lane in each direction to Brookshire in the late 80s/early 90s), and had no left shoulders since the center transitway was added in 1984. Since 2003, it's had miserable reconstruction going on. The project is about halfway done. From Katy to Highway 6 about 15 mi out of Houston, the freeway has been reconstructed and widened to 4 lanes in each direction with one diamond lane added in each direction. From Highway 6 to I-610, the freeway is still being widened from 3 lanes in each direction to 4 lanes in each direction plus 2 diamond lanes in each direction. By the time it's done, late this year or maybe 2009-2012, it will be the widest freeway in Houston. The widest sections will have 18 lanes across, including the feeder roads and c/d lanes.

And knowing how fast people breed, it will already be inadequate to handle the traffic.
