Is there anybody besides me that thinks the title of this thread could be pornographic? Hell, you could even change a word and make it a niche type of porn. Think about the title "Leave It In A Beaver"? Think that won't work for a certain niche?

Ah, but you see, I am attempting NOT to pass thru. I want to stay there.

You’re getting way too tech for me.
Around here (and a few we’ve done on my brothers place in CO), the feeder streams went down in the summer months to flow rates (just over "Trickle") that we could pretty much guesstimate the number of pipes we’d need to out-flow the in-flow.
Our issues were much smaller than Bots. We put up to 8 pipes in dams that were around 3’-4’ tall and maybe 75’-100’ wide. They like to make several ~½ acre tanks along low streams. Our little 4x4 Kubota could drive a pipe through in about 30 seconds with good traction.
It took a week or so to drain the levels down enough for them to seek a new location. That, or not being able to figure out the leaks just drove them nuts.

If worse come to worse… there’s always the 330 conibear.

Just be very careful. They can really (as in REALLY REALLY) hurt you.
And free running dogs?….I hate to even go there.

Cool - thanks for responding WVO.....Bot, maybe 20-30 pipes isn't too far off?

Let us know how it works out.

Maimed by a beaver. Yikes. I'll bet Aklim doesn't even have that fetish.

I'm unable to visit the traps frequently and I don't like the thought of leaving dead animals in a trap. Not just because of the unpleasant task of removing a decomposing carcass. I'm not really fond of the idea of shooting a beaver -- I like the critters. I'd prefer to evict them. But if I have to kill them, I will.

When you see the cost of those pipes the gun alternative may get more attractive.

It would be cool to get a compound crossbow for "the hunt".
Then you could play with a crossbow, get over $20 for the pelt and have a meal of beaver tail.

Very true......but a man's love of beaver makes one empty his wallet.

I have no idea of the going rate for 12" pipe. $5/LF?

It's probably a $800-1000 endeavor.....but go green Tom, go green (meaning spend green). Bot will be LEED certified after this.
