I have yet to taste a decent boxed wine. A better solution to your problem would be to look for screw-cap wines. In past years these used to be the cheapest bottles of gut-rot you could buy. But a lot has changed. Now you're getting respectable wineries bottling decent product with screw caps instead of corks. Pour yourself a glass, screw the cap back on tightly, and voila - the oxygen stays outside the bottle.

This is still sacrilege for French wineries for the most part, but new-world wineries are really embracing it. Wolf Blass, from Australia, makes several good table wines in both white and red varietals with screw caps. I like their red label Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blend for about $14 a bottle Canadian. I'm sure it would be cheaper for you in the US.

Having said that, I enjoy a glass of Merlot or Cab in the evening. I drink so little that bottles tend to go bad before I finish. So the question in this--which is the best of the boxed wines?
How long doe's it take for the wine to go bad? Those of us who were Napa born have never heard of such a thing.

If you're looking for a specific suggestion, for whites the only one I've found I liked was Fish Eye Pinot Grigio, and I actually like it quite a bit.

I haven't really found any boxed reds that I would buy again but Black Box cabernet was the least objectionable of the ones I tried.

"Good" wine is the one you like.

My wine is never in the box long enough to go bad.

Hemp isn't that something you smoke? I have heard that the advantage to storing wine in boxes is that less air gets into the container and the wine spoddy odey stays fresher longer.

My wife likes Corbett Canyon in 3Ltr. box. Better than Franzia!
