Interesting concerning the weather-It's been snowing here for more than a day-snow is very unusual here. I thought we were getting away from the snow when we moved here
My wife had both knees done at the same time. She had already had both hips replaced not that long ago. She made better progress than I expected but so many joint replacements in a short time has been difficult to recover from. Since then she has had a total shoulder replacement and the other has been postponed with cortisone injections. She is able to garden and walk on the beach.

I have had both knees done as half replacement which is an easier recovery. Hang in there they should come around. On my half knees and hips I threw away the cane after about three days. The spinal surgery took a bit longer....don't remember how long....its in this thread I believe.

In the mean time drink more bourbon or IPA beer!

Post Parts Is Parts.....

.....Or are they ? .

Some time back replacement knees & hips were got for five years or so, my middle sister has had them all done and had a quick recovery and gardens again, says zero pain so mayhap the next time (ugh) I crash my Moto I'll let the surgeons replace the knees they wanted to replace back then .

I followed the physical therapy regemine (SP) to the letter and I have almost zero knee / hip pain now and I've been working on my old cars and Motos quite a bit .

Unless you post photos, you're lying about Florida .

Forgot to add: back surgery. That was a pretty fast recovery. All these in about 3 years.

Post Getting Older

So far I've only had the Cervical surgery, they said if I waited longer my damaged disc would heal stronger and Lo ! they were right .

I now have a large metal plate in my neck but nothing in my back yet except pain when I work too much .

times

I have had two half knees, two hips, a spinal and a shoulder rotator cuff between 2007 and 2022. For me the shoulder was the longest recovery. I drove my truck with a sling on it. Luckily it was my left.

I have also had hernia, eye, prostate and bladder stone removal (3). Also had the esophagus scoped.

I just try to keep up on the maintenance. I am still only 90% on my leg agility so that might be all the better it will get.

Yep, shoulders are pain to recover, my right rotator cuff recovery took well over a year.
Knees are pretty rough too to be fair, had some tendon problems over the years of heavy lifting. With shoulder I felt like I can at least let it rest time to time without any pain or discomfort, wasn't as easy with knees...

Post Pain & Weather Changes

Last night we got rain again and as the barometric pressure dropped my shoulders began to ache .

I really dislike taking drugs so I didn't take any pain killers, if I had been working I might have .

My lovely daughter #4 is pregnant with her fourth....three months. So that will make 16 grandchildren but hey, who is counting?

I have so many grandkids by the time I die there won't be much left for each of them to inherit after dividing it 16 ways.

I guess I'll just spend it myself.

I really only have one grandson who likes cars so I'll probably just have to sell them off mainly.

The twins wrestled last night ...165 and 175. They both won with a one minute pin.

In other news. I found out I have parkinsons in early stage. I got some pills to take...seems they calm me.

Sorry to hear that yet another pathology has caught up with you. I know/knew many with parkinsons. Never was their demise. Just another non-ideality. Look how well MJ Fox made out with it. Big kids. i wrestled but never that heavy. But then again I was almost 2 years young for the grade and not fully pumped up yet. I even had to wrestle above my weight class because the guys there ( on my team) were previous state or regional champs and wtf was I supposed to do about that?
