I started working for a small software company in the eighties and I felt about the same way about our founder/owner. How I felt about him personally didn’t cloud my view of his effectiveness. He was honest, fair and had the proper vision. He made a trustworthy, effective leader. He made many great jobs for us and produced products that resulted in good jobs for our customers as well as our vendors and business partners.

Folks, hiring someone for a job is not about finding a wife that you can love. It’s about trustworthiness and effectiveness. Trump has CLEARLY been the most effective president in decades. Yeah, in his personal demeanor he is an ass, but there is no credible evidence of dishonest dealings. Does he require concessions when cutting deals? You betcha! That’s what a competent CEO does. He listens to input and makes decisions based on the input.

Wake up and listen to information from sources other than the dishonest mainstream media. Stop the hate and pay attention to the significant facts and get over the little things that are inconsequential in the big picture.

You guys take care of yourselves and your families and try to open your ears to sounds other than what the dishonest media wants you to hear. I’ll check back in sometime after the Summer and see how everyone is doing. Gonna get in some flying, fishing and family. Meanwhile I will pray for you all.
Whatever.

Sounds like your software company CEO was like Trump. You were fortunate to be there then. I've worked for some good business managers and owners in the present and past as well. Trump will continue to save America.

There is no excuse that holds water. For the damage yet to come with this virus issue. Inside north America. That was preventable at far lesser overall cost. Then wlll be paid.

The windows of opportunity that did exist have now been slammed shut.

We in Canada expected and where led to believe the required action was to be announced. Unbelievably they still did not get it when that action was announced yesterday.

They spent so much time arranging the chairs on the Titanic. They missed that the ship has sailed. There is only the very slightest chance now things will resolve themselves reasonably.

Instead it is now a probable catalyst for a massive social and financial upheaval. It has the potential to make 2008 look like a walk in the park.

Only eight days onward since that post.. A variety of concerns seem to have more substance. I do not think bailing out larger corporations and keeping their stockholders happy. Then giving each American worker a thousand dollars is going to work out very well.

Either is sending people back to work. When the majority will all get sick from doing it.

In for a dime in for a dollar. If north Americans creditors will take the paper. Choice is almost in black or white. Our town was almost a ghost town today when I drove around in it.

Some projections may be possible when New York states peak numbers come in. New York was allotted only four thousand additional breathing machines where they see a need for thirty thousand more. For the lowest peak period they expect.

I have no ideal of why they do not get it. You stop all domestic flights or you are continuing seeding the virus across the whole country.

Cash flow is almost a certain casualty. If the bills before the two governments of north America only basically or primarily serve the rich.

Just picked up Canadians impacted will get 1,800.00 a month for the duration. So primary cash flows in the society should do better. It will be weaker and adjustments will have to be made. It does remove a lot of the financial fear though. For example a couple of my friends have been sent home. As a married working couple they will get 3,600.00 a month until it is fit for them to return to work. A lot of Canadians understandably will sleep better. At that income level they would also get 500.00 a month per child as well. If they have any. They have one at home.

So now we concentrate on dealing with the virus. As It was enough relief to avoid depression type situations emerging. Taxes will increase after this is over to some extent is a reasonable expectation. Nobody should mind. I certainly do not. We got a text that a young couple off work will not have money for food at the end of this week. I was going to tell them we would set a box outside to pick up this morning.

Do not expect the American media to publish any of what we are doing. In the days ahead. Judging by their past consistent record of not doing so on other things we do up here. Old Saunders tried to get the message across. He spent enough time up here in Canada to understand how things work.

I went as far during the last election as a Canadian to recommend Americans elect him. Not because he would accomplish a lot. Besides a slim possibility of universal health care. That he just might start a new direction of real accountability to the people. His type do not come along very often. We were really fortunate about sixty years ago. Americans do not want it is okay by us. Why not though is a serious question. Just the propaganda? I see nothing in the American constitution that discourages it.

No it is not utopia up here in Canada by any means. So we constantly work at it.

I do not think the relief program is verified in Canada yet. The rumors of the content are out there though.

I do not comprehend all the American relief program yet. It sounds like some components are shared by both north American countries. Land lords in Canada were getting really concerned.

Hi Barry could you elaborate on the following paragraph.

I suspect a missing word or spell check mishap because I cannot understand it.

Post Trapped By Borders

An old friend of mine lives in Canada but has to travel to up state New York to take care of her elderly mother, she's now trapped in America .

It looks like Canada's on the right track but the continuing air flights may simply mean the peak will hit there later .

I wouldn't call it being "trapped." Besides, if she were trapped in Canada, she'd be claiming the same circumstance, or worse.

So my rental business has been unaffected until the last week or so. I have one of my office tenants who has not paid yet for April. Yesterday I got a letter from another tenant who is asking me what I can do for them. I told them I'd have to see what the government will do for them.

The only recourse for me that I have information about so far, is to ask the bank to allow me to skip a payment and pay an extra one at the end of the mortgage period. This is good but I will soon be in a pickle if they stop paying.

I can theoretically evict and rent to someone else but I am not sure who the new tenant might be.

Perhaps I might be able to get some sort of aid as a small business. I have no clue how that works. It appears the first batch of money was snapped up by a handful of huge well connected businesses and now the fund is dry.

Program is to be refunded in America I believe. Talking to tenants to see what they can pay is another approach. Negotiation with tenants was recommended early.

Since we have three provinces in Canada with no new cases now for days. Plus we know how we did this. Yet as of today do not see one case of this practice in America.

A state or province cannot have much of a chance if it leaves it's borders open. As an example New Brunswick that topped out at 111 cases has had no new cases for days. . Where it borders with Quebec. Quebec has 18,000 cases and growing. The border between those two provinces is well sealed. Our province of Nova Scotia has a sealed border as well with New Bruinswick.

We still do not have one case in the county we live in but a mess in Halifax and Sydney. In our province. Perhaps about 500 cases. That they are not dealing with properly. So continue to slowly grow.

The office tenant that was late paid double this week so is current. The Mayor of Michigan city is possibly inadvertently hindering the Vacation rental business in Michigan City by requiring them to shelter in place at the rental house at least 7 days.

This seems to be a garbled message at best, but it is better than last week!

We have written off tourisim in Nova scotia for this summer. Unless a miracle occurs. It is always possible I suppose. Yet I would not think so. I was a little suprised at the dollar volume tourisim involves.

We have had one serious issue here and an assortment of odd uncommon things occurring. Perhaps just enough stress to make some people act irrational.

Our towns aircraft parts plant resumed production a couple of weeks back. I guess there might be cancelled orders or not enough new ones. The first layoff was 100 men. The weather here for May is colder and persistently more rainy than average so far.

Suprising most are adjusting like this is to be the new normal for quite some time. I estimate from what I observe than other for absolute requirements. People are not buying very much. I would guess a state of wait and see exists currently.

I can see more adjustments will be required. Like appeals for commercial property tax reductions. Real reductions in new vehicle prices to move them. I could probably come up with quite a list if I really thought about it.
