I'm feeling generous and will gladly donate mine to the first taker. Otherwise, it looks like surgery on Friday.

Neighbor friend of mine just had the surgery last week.....a double one on each side.....still sore as heck.

A freind of mine just had his hernia surgery....at Sholdice Hernia Hospital here in Toronto....people from all over the world come to there as its the best ones in North America.
If you get it done at your local hospital chances are it will come back.

I don't think they ever completely heal on their own. But they can be minor and settle down so that surgery isn't required. Just suggesting that you keep that in mind next time you try to pick up a carpet roll, since it could turn a minor hernia into one that requires surgery.

Ouch! I feel for ya brother. I had double inguinal repaired with ethicon in 1997... A couple of days is the best case... I was down for a week! Watch those pressure bandages, and get rid of them as soon as the doc will let you. The second day after was the roughest. I prayed I'd not cough or sneeze!
A few months later, my dad had same operation. He di much better, but no ethicon... about a year later, my father-in-law same. He fared very well, with only 2 or so days of he**. Good luck! Get help going to take a whiz as you shouldn't lift anything heavy for some time afterward.

Friend of mine had it done with scopes a couple of years ago. Surgery in the am, home and grocery shopping, in the pm. Took a couple of advil.
Hopes it goes as well for you. Life is suffering.
