A recession is not defined by the stock market, it is negative growth in the GDP.

Of course the administration is doing something about it, they are making it worse!

And McCarthyism is the label associated with those chasing red ghosts (Communists) in the government, not the act of being socialist.

The point is really simple. If you want to tell me that because I don't believe in social programs I should not use all the services that YOU deem are social programs, fair enough. Give me back all the money I was forced to contribute to them and ensure I don't have to pay one penny towards them ever again and I won't use them. Till you can do that, you can't tell people who don't believe in social programs to not use those programs.
