What should I do?

Well a couple days ago my son of 20 years old brings home a "Friend" to spend a couple days with us. He says they are not dating and I believe him. She is very nice. Good hard working small town family. They do very well and are self employed (Her dad has a 300E) They both are 20 years old and they talk a lot and get along great and stayed up until 3am talking and having fun. It is not the first time he has had girls over to spend the night but when they went up stars to go to bed she and him went into his bedroom and shut the door and slept in his bed togeather.(Wife walked in at around 11am the next day to give him something. By the time I found out I was at work). He does not know that I know about this. She is a very attractive young girl very thin and well dressed like all of the other girls he has ever brought home but something does not feel right here. If they are just friends why did they have to sleep in the same bed togeather? They both told my wife nothing happend and I do believe it because they are both responsible people. So do I talk with him about it or am I just living in the 50's? Not sure on this one.

I agree. I do not see too much of an issue with it but I just am worried something did happen and I just do not need to be surprised..... 9 months later for example.

Maybe her father is living in the 40's. And who do you think he gonna be mad at?

I would not worry about it. Your son seems to make good decisions judging by what he did to the previous woman.

Your house, your rules...

...agreed.

And it's common decency to the family. If you ain't married, you shouldn't be sharing a bed together in your parents' house.

Your wife's and your house...you two talk first, THEN talk to the kids, together...

Make sure you and the wife agree as to what the "sleeping arrangements" are before you lower the boom on behalf of your wife and you.

Also, find out EXACTLY what she saw, said and did...otherwise, you look like the "odd man out" of the scenario...

The son should have know already what's acceptable under your roof...now might be a little too late to delineate "proper" non-married guest sleeping arrangement etiquette...since you've already mentioned that this type of behavior has already been going on with no objections on your part, you may have already determined how this is going to end up already.

Then, what is it about this scenario that suddenly has your paternal instincts all on high-alert?

Maybe that's what you and the wifey need to discuss before you chat w/the kids...

Either way, you better be settled with this in your mind before you approach your son...

Good luck...

#2 Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. He's not going to bring her home for sex, that's what the 300TD is for
#3 Does he live at home with you, or was this just a visit? (I don't want that to sound like an insult, I live with my parents when I can)

^^^MGBURG What said.

If you come down hard on him he'll just go do what he wants somewhere else.

It's best for you to talk to him about what's acceptable behavior and why.

You definitely need to have the sex & birth control talk. Honestly, it was a little uncomfortable talking about sex with my daughter but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

My parents would NEVER let me have a girl in my room. I wouldn't even try.

You'd want your parents to talk to you,if they had a question...

No matter what's going on,you cannot have "Too Much" Communication.
(BUT,I agree discuss Prior and Future events with The Supreme Commander at
length [if for no other reason than to seek her counsel] before y'all talk to the kids.)

You can't be living in the 50's. Your son is 20 and still living at home.

He is male, she is female. If they haven't already had sex then he wants to, its human nature. He let her sleep in his bed hoping things would "happen".

I gotta assume by 20, he's had that talk.
Personally, it doesn't seem like a big deal, but like Bot said, your house your rules.
