I got my wife (the best thing that ever happened to me) to come outside and look at it three times to tell me what good job I did. Getting these simple jobs sorted out seems to build confidence. I'll probably take on re-roofing the place pretty soon. I will say when I was at the top of that ladder I did not dare look around. I focused on what I was doing and kept a keen awareness of how high I was. I would rather pull an engine/transmission out of a 240D than go up to the top of that thing.

It does not look bad. I'm about to get over being nervous being on top of that ladder too.

We finished repairing the fascia boards and have gotten the house buttoned up where the critters can't get into the attic. I started on the porch sill yesterday afternoon and have attached a pic of where I got with it. Things are progressing nicely and I am falling right into this carpenter work. I will say I am sore as all get out this morning though.

I will be moving into the kitchen after the porch and then will probably work towards replacing the shingles or going with a metal roof. I like the idea of a metal roof because of how long it will last.
