What a day...

After work, I stopped by a small mom and pop dealer that had quite a few full size trucks and SUVs. I was impressed with the inventory, and the prices reflected the low overhead operation. The truck that really caught my eye was a Yukon Denali. 90k, Champagne color, AWD, heated leather seats, and in stunning condition. I crawled underneath the car and it looked like new; obviously it had never seen salt. Carfax revealed that it was a Texas truck all of its life.

It basically looks identicle to this one minus the Navigation and Rear entertainment.

Its sitting in my driveway tonight for $11,500. It test drove flawlessly, and while its a bit more than I was budgeting to spend, I couldn't pass up on the bargain price on something this luxurious.

I will take some photos tomorrow.

Nice SUV. I prefer that body style over the style that they are currently making.

You may want to service the fluid in the diffs... My former boss learned the hard way that its part of the general maintainence.

I need it for trailering new acquisitions home. That is the sole reason, other than perhaps the occasional jaunt in bad weather around town, or to the slopes of Colorado. It will also keep my old benzes from seeing salt which they use in disgusting abundance here.

Hey! I don't see many American built Ox carts with a Canadian name, body cladding, billet wheels, two tone interior, and bum warmers. If a disco II had a decent towing capacity and wasn't so damn expensive to run, I'd be all over it. About the only thing I have to worry about on this truck is AWD issues.

Iwrock is exactly right, the tranny, transfer case, and both differential fluids will get changed pronto. I'm not too worried when there's a whole bunch of these for sale on autotrader with 200k plus on them.

I'm surprised Hattie hasn't chimed in; he was the catalyst for me to start looking at GM products.

Well duh...

I bought this thing for half of what I sold the E500 for. I can deal with 3 nice old benzes to drive, and one ox cart surrounded by blingy looking plastic.

Meh not a big fan of SUV's but its a hell of a lot better built truck than any Chrysler product.

My friend has an old 97 Yukon he uses as his plow truck. 200k miles, hasn't had the oil changed in quite awhile, but it does OK.

GM knows how to make trucks.
