Read the article before you watch the video.

Looks like the Ady Gil went looking for trouble...and found it.

These guys need a bigger boat if they want to do any real damage to a whaling ship.

My sympathies lie with the whales. The issue is one apparently not addressed adequately by international maritime laws. It is hard to understand why japan needs whales.

Thanks for the laugh Joe!

IMO the show based off this is cheezy, and they really need to change their tactics.

(mentioned in the OP's link)Photo: The Sea Shepherd Bob Barker

Filed under: animals, campaigns — Michael d'Estries @ 4:39 pm
January 5th 2010

Here he is folks — the latest addition to the Sea Shepherd fleet, the MV Bob Barker.
TMZ.com did a bit more digging and found out that Mr. Price is Right donated over $5 million dollars to the anti-whaling org to retrofit this icebreaker. The new (and very secret) ship was the first of the Sea Shepherd fleet to discover the location of the Japanese whaling fleet. Word is, Barker kicked some ass and made the Japanese relocate, thwarting plans for any kills.
You don’t mess with Barker, Japan. You just don’t.

I have to admit that it would be fun to go out and poke some holes in the hulls of whaling ships.

Well I'm against Whaling, but I don't think this is the way to go about stopping it. Probably done more for the "donation effect" via the Whale Wars show.

The article states the whaler turned INTO them, from the video, to me the ADY pulled in front of the whaler. Watch the video at about 2 minutes.

It's a shame, really neat boat.
So now somebady has to protest the Whale Wars group for polluting !!!!
They let the boat sink.

WTH kinda ship is the Ady Gil? Looks pretty cool.

But then, seriously, don't park it in front of something that's capable of swallowing you whole.
