Agreed. Things keep getting worse and someone will just park a Frigate down there to make sure that everyone places nice. I doubt anyone would care to ram another ship with one of these pointed at them....

The whole fake bullet incident removed any credibility for me. They don't save any whales, just annoy the whalers and force everyone to burn a lot more fuel in the process.

At those distances and speeds I doubt the harpoon boat could have done too much to steer into or away from them. Kind of like a motorcycle playing chicken with a train.

The Ady Gil also known as the 'earthrace' was a trimaran, you can find a ton of information on it from Wikipedia by searching ady gil or earthrace... It's made completely from carbon fiber...which is why you should never go in front of a 1800T Ice class vessel

I saw Whale wars on Animal planet...what a joke of a show. Throwing jars of bad smelling things on the deck of the ships? That is just asking for trouble. IMO these people aren't the brightest and their plans dwell in numbskullery but they do have a good cause.

Whaling has been an integral part of Japan's society for more years than America has been around.

Who's idea is it that we force our mindset on another societies citizens?

it provides jobs, meat, and other assets needed by some of these people...let it be and move on

Agreed. I saw the episode where they had to 'reinforce' the hull with wood beams because they were trying to break through the Antarctic ice flow..... an extremely stupid idea if i've ever seen one.

As much fun as messing with these clowns might be, whaling will eventually go away by treaty when there is sufficient international pressure.
