What you are seeing is the consequences of a Catholic society that practices no population control. Funny how you blame this on the "liberals", when the root cause of Haiti's problem is the Haitians doing exactly what conservatives want people to do - practice zero birth control.

Most of the Catholic social policy & dogma is more aligned with the left side of politics rather than the right. LOTS of Catholics vote Democrat.

Don't get your politics mixed up too much with religious beliefs, pardner. Been to any Latin American country lately? The Phillipines? The Pope is telling them all to keep on breeding like rats or face Hell.

What do you remember about non-believers? Some societies have evolved to deal with earthquakes and some have not.

I didn't get anything mixed up. I merely pointed out that the folks who are doing the uncontrolled breeding you mentioned are most likely more aligned with you politically than you would care to think...

Yeah, us Democrats are all about pro-life. Most Catholics are urban working class people, it has more to do with that than religion. Religious Catholics, of which there really aren't many in this country, vote with you guys on that one issue. In less developed countries, the Catholic Church is much more ingrained in the culture and much more part of day to day life, in many countries, it's the Welfare Dept. Toe the line or else.

Your definition of "basic humanity" is nothing more that an idealised fantasy, competition for resources to ensure geneic propagation, is the only real basis for all of life. It's not suprising that as an organism, you would attempt to alter that equation to favor your success.

"You guys"? Who is that? If you are referring to pro life, I dont think you can ever find an instance where I said that I took that stance. When you go into the Asian & Hispanic populations, you will find lots of religious Catholics in thsi country...

I don't blame liberals; I simply noted the dichotomy of their worship of evolution theory and their refusal to accept its inevitable consequences!

Didn’t Darwin’s observations predate National Socialism? Didn’t the selection of adaptive mutations exist prior to National Socialism, and won’t it exist long after your fantasy of “basic humanity”?

We’ll be seeing how that “basic humanity” works out in a couple days when the food and water run low and societal order evaporates, any bet how the Have-nots will treat the Haves.
