Yep.
That, and A Boy and His Dog, with a way-pre-miami vice Don Johnson.

B-Grade classics.

Wow fantastic!

Do you still fly it?

But how do you get through the gates on the way into those multistory car parks?

But seriously - I used to quite like the idea of helicopters until I worked as a mechanic on Chinooks. Those dirty great big contra-rotating blades rattle the whole structure to bits...

May be four ducted fans with variable pitch blades would work. The only thing is where to put them? I don't want to spoil the lines of the car - it looks so good with out wheels but I doubt it will look so good with additional bits sprouting from the sides.

Update

The project continues...

My wife thinks I'm planning on making a big foot W123

Little does she know that I've gotten hold of a gravitdom2000 to install...

...soon I WILL be going to work in my flying car.

I could go the tried and tested route of making a cushion of air under the car like a Harrier Jump Jet or a hovercraft... but that's pretty noisy - and sometimes you need to carry your own water to make the air "strong" enough to support your flying object.

Maglev has also been suggested but that would be rather costly as I'd have to arrange for some magnetic rails to drive on - and I want to go everywhere in my car - who wouldn't?

So I was thinking about other forces that could lift my car.

I've come up with:-

1) Van der Waal's forces
2) Capillary force
3) The police force
4) A force to be reckoned with
5) The Force featuring Q'n'C

Have I missed any?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!!
You're only thinking about lifting the car, why can't you just repel the Earth?

You need to put something really repulsive on there and voila!

Well I thought the Daimler Dart was repulsive enough but apparently it doesn't levitate...

Yugos are pretty bad too - but yet again they don't appear to float...
