I have to laugh at all the terror Beck causes the left. First they poo poo him as having no effect and the, when he shows he has draw, he is suddenly the new threat to the progressive world.

Maybe he is; and, maybe the left has something to fear of a new coalition of the right. People are tired of the seemingly endless taxes and programs and want a country that is less centralized and more free.

BTW, I have not heard any of you hysterics mention the fact that MLK's niece was there and spoke at length to a very receptive crowd; but now, I suppose, you will call her an "oreo" or some other race traitor comment to try and denigrate her message of peace and unity.

The worm is turning fellows; the left of the 60s is beginning to die out (thankfully) and you have something that you never wanted: a entire generational decade of men and women who fought a war with honor and know how good we have it here. That's something your frantic histrionics will never change. We have a new best generation and they know the propaganda spouted by the left is just a can full of Bravo Sierra.

You could teach a thing or two about propaganda. I don't recall anyone saying that Beck has no effect. He has an effect. No doubt. But his shtick is built on about half nonsense.

Your 'war fought with honor' went some distance towards bankrupting us and reports continue to come out about how the huge building projects we undertook are mostly unwanted and neglected, if not in ruins.

I heard interviews with returned vets from Iraq on the NPR show Living on the Earth and they spoke about the need they feel for the US to quickly become energy independent, having seen the downside of fighting to protect access to foreign sources. They spoke of hopes they could work on green energy projects. Not exactly dissing the horrible propo from the demon left.

And you lap up every word of it. So, what does that say about you?

Great. A Beck wannabe except on the other side. Did these soldiers also tell us about getting the rest of the world energy independent? After all, if your trading partner goes down, it can't be good for you even if you are energy independent. But even if you achieve that, so what? We will still fight about something else. Man has fought for eons over this, that or the other. Speaking of NPR, did they also interview other soldiers who DID NOT agree with the point of that show?

The point of my long post earlier is that it seems Beck is trying to reset the dialog. Instead of being a preacher who talks about politics and how only the Republicans can save us from ourselves Beck is now talking religion and not mentioning politics at all.

If nothing else it is a BIG change in his act. Palin has one speech. She reminds me of an old Vegas comic who has not changed his act in 30 years. Rush has one theme and he just fits the news of the day to reflect it. Beck had his 'education' routine and now he has unveiled an entirely new act. It reminds me of when Elvis went from rock 'n roll Elvis to the Jumpsuit Elvis. The Beatles were killing him and he had to change. His old act was just not drawing in the crowds anymore, and the new Vegas Jumpsuit Elvis was a big hit.

Beck has stepped out with the new Beck. Perhaps he is following Ann Coulter who is now headlining Gay conventions; perhaps he has seen the smaller crowds Palin is pulling at her personal appearances. Whatever it is the Right is not sure what to make of him now.

All the Right reporting I have seen on this is of the 'Wow, those libs sure are mad!' and there is no mention of what he said. That can only be because they do not know what to say.

The real test will be his next rally. Will anyone show up?

I have not invested with them.

But why all the vitriol?
No one was forced to invest with Bernie Madoff either.

So the man has decided that he needs to reinvent himself to sell himself. Can't blame him. Keeping at the same old thing runs a risk of people getting bored. Now, with that change, he gets people curious. Ultimately, I'm betting it will be the same old thing with a different twist.

IF he was working with SS, he'd be hailed a hero. Since he isn't, well, the govt hates competition and only it is allowed to run Ponzi schemes.

Yup. You said what I was trying to get at in a much more concise way than I could.

Workers of the world, unite and reject leftist dogma; free yourselves from the yoke of oppression

that's really the message of the new right, and it scares the beejesus out of the left...because once the left's illusion of liberation is gone, all that is left is a hollow shell....and a nanny state that wants to run everything and fails bady at doing so.
