Job growth is good. Question is why they keep talking about job growth but not the net growth. 1000 jobs created is good. HOWEVER, if you lose 2000 jobs but gain 1000, it isn't that great.

Just curious. Was that the same waking up we had from the dictatorship from 2000 till 2006 or is this a different type of dictatorship?

And m I too assume that you will vote for a democrat in 2012 to help ensure we do not enter into another dictatorship or since you agree with this new potential dictatorship that have all teaparty republicans is OK? Just trying to clarify.

Different. Dictatorship is bad. IF my guy does it, it isn't dictatorship. Your guy does it and it is. Pretty cut and dry.

If McCain runs, definitely. If not, whoever promises to do less gets my vote.

RUSH LIMBAUGH: This really is important. We are sitting here on one of the greatest political opportunities of our lifetime. We have just -- the American people have just -- rejected liberalism.

They need to be told that's what they did. Too many people don't yet realize that what they voted against was liberalism. They think they're voting against "Washington not working," so they think they're voting against Washington. Again, Washington doesn't work. They want Washington to work.

Why Washington doesn't work needs to be explained to them. It doesn't work because of liberals running it. It's just that simple. It's not complicated. It can be demonstrated.

Now, the minute inside-the-Beltway Republicans start trashing liberalism, that's the day that they are rejected from the ruling class. The day they stop talking about bipartisanship and all that, that's the day they get kicked out of the ruling class, 'cause they're just invited guests in the ruling class.

The Democrats control who's in the ruling class, in Washington. They control who's in the clique. But I cannot emphasize this enough. I cannot say enough times: The folly of a tidal wave victory and wipeout, historic wipeout, and the next day the Republicans think what they have to first do is trash the Tea Party and Sarah Palin rather than seize this opportunity?

If they want to win every year, if they want to be a generational winner, if the Republicans wanna resign the Democrats to being out of power for 40 years, here's how you do it.

The Democrats just illustrated who they are and what they do nationally if unchecked. We've already got the example of Michigan. We've got the example of New Orleans and Louisiana. We've got the example of San Francisco. We've got it.

Everywhere liberals run the show in conjunction with unionism, you've got utter despair and destruction. It's time it was pointed out.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. ( and i didn't need to take twelve vicodin to fall asleep, unlike the mr. blowhard. thanks for the nap, rush.)

So I guess this means the country voted against conservatism in 2006 right? Or was that different also?

It was absolutely different both quantitatively and qualitatively, only 31 seats where gained in the House by the Democrats, so conservatism was only rejected half as much as liberalism was on Nov 2 if that is the only measure used. If one takes into account all the other rejections of liberals in the Senate, Governorships and State legislative seats it is a virtually un-paralleled, across the board rejection.

If one takes into account that vast malevolence of the media arrayed against Republicans in 2006 and 2010 and in support of Democrats the significance of the rejection is monumental.

What conservatives would that have been?

This election is potentially the best thing that could happen for Democrats and particularly the president in 2012. Once the RTP gets over it's gloating, the fun will begin.

That's a very good point. Most Republicans in congress are not conservatives, they are Republican bimbos.

Angry *** Can't we all just learn to get along???? ***

What was the MAIN THEME of the elections?

The HEALTHCARE MANDATES/HEALTHCARE TAKEOVER.

Simple as that.

And the majority of those that stood their ground and continued to say "We need Government Mandated Healthcare, and my vote for it was correct!" are currently updating their resumes (as if some even know what one is!), looking for work in a couple of months.

Those that survived took alot of their cash reserves to the polls in order to hang onto their seats and even then, most now have the mandate from their constituents that they better pay attention to THEIR voices instead of the ones they were hearing from the WH or either of the Speakers' Chairs.

Those that still trumpet HCM/HCT are living in sheltered "homes" were the out-stretched hand may slap them if they don't perform up to spec.. They'll flame out in 2 to 6 years 'cause once the HCM/HCT is recinded, they'll be seen as ineffectual for their constituents' purposes. Nancy Pelosi may never see the Speaker's Chair ever again, and I don't give her a chance at seeing 7 more years as a representative, unless her district remains as screwy as it is right now, or even more so later on.

As for the Senate...Harry might be out as Speaker...then again, those that survived as Dems may say to the House and the rest of the Senate, "Up Yours!" and keep Harry there as a figure-head (since he's already been stained with the HCM/HCT debacle) in order to deflect voter-angst come the next Senatorial election-cycle in 2 years.

Only the Democratic caucus will know, for sure.

But, the camels' noses have already been in the tent with the HCM/HCT and alot of the required infrastructure has already been started and put into place.

Will the American people (the ones that REALLY WORK and PAY REAL TAXES) be able to get this stain off their backs?

Only time will tell and one, if not two, more elections will finish telling the whole story.

Until then, stay tuned for more campaign retoric and heresay.

2012 is still not as close as we'd like it.

God help us.

If you think that your precious Democrats are really liberals or what they say they are, you are living in fantasy land. They are all pigs at the trough. When they say "We'll discuss it." they mean "SHOW ME THE MONEY and I'll vote for whatever you say.". Or as the black guy in Ghostbusters said when asked if he believed in the Loch Ness Monster or whatever supernatural thing "If there is a steady paycheck, I'll believe in whatever you say." or words to that effect.

How very subtly you plug for your side by talking trash about the other side.

I'm not a Democrat, so I wasn't "plugging my side". And you of all posters should not be accusing anyone of living in a "fantasy land.
But most Democrats are liberals, in contrast to Republicans who mostly are not conservatives.

According to the left much was accomplished and they had to answer for that... and the answer was a ***** slap to the face. If the gov does nothing but rollback the "accomplishments" of the last two years then we all win- oh except those that have no skin in the game.

We can only hope for this.

Reagan was right - get rid of the pan-Leninist government of obama, and leave us the h#ll alone!
