Architect working as project manager in the office of physical facilities at Purdue University in West Lafayette. We maintain, remodel, add to tear off and build new buildings and related infrastructure.

On one hand I am getting new copper gutters and downspouts put on a 1920's building and on the other getting high tech bio safety fume hoods instlled in a highly secure research building with amazing mechanical infrastructure running all over the place.

One project I am almost finished with involved remodeling some lab space to accomodate two new mass spectrometers (I think that is the right name) both of which would easily fit in my pickup but together cost better part of a half mil.

I was involved with running clinical studies during the 3rd stage of new drug development. 3rd stage is the first time when a new drug is given to a real patients in controlled environment. Traveled a lot around the globe. I was blessed with a chance to visit some magnificent corners of the world on a company expenses sheets 47 countries in 14 years...I still miss the traveling sometimes......

I came into the project as a replacement for the last PM, with less than 3 months to get the entire program into production. Some of the tooling won't be ready before the start of production date, but I have ways around that, as we also have the prototype tooling.
