Besides, the term "mindless troll" is redundant. None of our existing trolls are likely to be "smarter than a 5th grader" either.

I beg to differ. I've seen a few trolls that were clearly intelligent; made you wish that they would use their powers for good. While they are quite rare, their mere existence is enough to make the term non-redundant.
