Sorry! Affirmative action might possibly have had something to do with his educational opportunities, and given the time that he went to college, may very well have been a factor.

Yes, there are MANY that believe that such a plan could be enacted. The interest in a Flat Tax has been on the rise for years.

What, are you having trouble believing that a Black Man could have had all these accomplishments and come up with a really good plan on top of that?

We're in dire straights these days. We need somebody with some good ideas, drive, determination, and a track record of accomplishments. Herman Cain seems to have those qualities in spades (pardon the pun). What difference does his race make? So far everybody else I've heard anything about sounds like the old same again. I'd vote for Cain, based on what I know about him so far.

I don't think that I have EVER agreed more with a single post on this forum.

If he continues to climb the polls another week or two without slipping backwards, I'm going to send him a donation.

If other people will look honestly and thoroughly at his background and what he stands for, he has a chance.

Do you know that many people give him credit for stopping Hillary Care? He was in a townhall meeting talking directly to Bill Clinton in 1994 or so and his explanation of the numbers involved started the doubts that ultimately killed Hillary care. It probably can be found on YouTube somewhere.

Given the number of CEO's that are not able to perform or who do not perform near the level that their exorbitant salary would suggest I think there is a bit more than 'performance' being used as a yard stick.

Just read an interesting comment about Mr. Cain. He is a 5 year survivor of stage IV colorectal cancer. Apparently, the mortality rate for 5 year survivors is extremely high, over 95% percent. He has had many challenges in his life.

So, you're painting this with a broad brush and saying that all CEO's are unable to perform at an adequate level?

Yes, he made a point in the last debate about this. He said that his doctors got rapid tests and treatment and they said that this is what saved his life. He said that if Obamacare had been involved and a beaureacrat had delayed any of these tests or treatments he would be dead.

He gets regular tests and continues to show that he is 100% cancer free.

If you're impressed by this, you need to learn more about his youth and his life. He is an amazing man with an amazing story to tell.

On the face of it he sounds impressive. If what is claimed about him is true, and not related to affrimative action, then even more so. His race should not be a factor (unfortuantely it certainly was with O). All that should matter are his accomplishments and suitability for the job. However. While his accomplishments - if true - sound most impressive I'd point out that running the country is not the same as running a business. So brilliance in the latter may not necessarily translate to ability in the former.

And of course it's all academic if he doesn't get the nomination anyway. But if he does, it'll certainly be an interesting fight. I have a nasty suspicion a large section of the liberal left will attempt to portray him as an uncle Tom.
