The context of the statement is comical. Is any nation's borders "secure" . . . well Iran does a fairly good job against hikers, and the former East Germans did put up quite the effort . . . but historically, has any US border, since the inception of the nation, been secure?

Well, that's what some are saying: Obama Invades Uganda, Targets Christians - The Rush Limbaugh Show

To each his own, but these don't look like the sort of Christians I want anything to do with:
Quote:
...The Lord’s Resistance Army has been operating in the border regions of northern Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other Central African nations for more than two decades. Led by Kony, a former altar boy with a messiah complex, the army has been fighting to install what it says would be a Christian government in Uganda based on the Ten Commandments.

Although numbering only about 250 armed members, the movement is notorious for its civilian killings and kidnappings, particularly of children. The White House estimates that roughly 385,000 people have been displaced from villages in the region as a result of those tactics.

A smaller group of U.S. military advisers assisted a previous Ugandan-led offensive against the Lord’s Resistance Army in late 2008 and early 2009. That operation backfired, however, as Kony’s group escaped and his fighters responded by committing a string of massacres against civilians....

It is interesting that that few ppl can disrupt that many ppl's lives. Wonder what kind of gun laws they got?

Why would a US President send "advisors" to a country governed by a Dictator? Yoweri Museveni got into power by overthrowing a democratic government.

Let the Chinese get their throats slit and come home in pine boxes. Better than Americans wasting their lives and money there.

Future enemy soldiers dying in agony: good.
Less cost to the US: good.

This is already shaping up. The focus is going to be on developing a Cell phone system so people can call in when the LRA is moving through the jungle.

Drones are also a part of the mix.

I like Rush's spin. I wonder how many Christians will come out in support of the LRA and then discover they are idiots.

where's Code Pink? where's Cindy Shehan? Where's Sean Penn? if a Repub did this, the teeth knashing and arm flailing would be endemic. More hypocrisy, no surprise here....

A Republican did do it, and those opposing such a move were vilified as traitors and terrorist lovers. Bush, Cheney Rumsfeld, Rice all lied about the threat posed by the invaded countries. These liars are still defended by Republican bimbos. I don't see any hypocracy except by those that were duped in the past.
