speaking of Decon... I just notice that something chewed thru the main cables of my little MIG welder in the garage. And I saw a rat in my chicken coop

Darn chickens just stare at it when it runs in and out... it looks like it lives under a 55 gal drum of diesel I have next to the coop. Good thing I moved the leather seats to the basement a couple months ago.

Got 5 cats with full claws in the house, we better not see a live mouse.. EVER.

I was having some strange computor issues reciently. The wife asked if it was the mouse. Well I have never taken apart ones for cleaning other than the type that use a mechanical/ electrical setup.

So after telling the wife it probabably was not I took apart the mouse to check it. Easier than being told I told you so later. It was all electronic so all of a sudden the fault type made sense. I would lose the cursor totally and it would reapear if I restarted the computor without touching the mouse.

That amount of mouse failure in a day if each mouse workied initially is suspicious. Unless they were all of one production run perhaps. You could see by the one I took apart that the components while not really sophisticated were really cheap. The printed circuit board was like third world stuff or worse. If they were wirless you did change the reciever?

They where all USB, and different cheapest clearance shelf brands, from my box of spares.

Install a new battery, in your mouse, first.

Roy,
Ask your daughter to sing you the song "3 Blind Mice" !!!!

On a serious note, if they are wireless, try a new battery in them.
If they are hard wired to a USB port, try another USB port.
Now if you have done that, you could try them on another PC.
If they work in another PC you may have a bug in the USB driver program.

Talk to the pig and the spider, perhaps they could talk the rat into leaving?

That rat is eating your scratch and lay mash, time for him, and his family; there's no such thing as one rat, to go.
