Quote:
IOW, I bend with the wind to save my career. Much like many Republicans would have gone along with the party line simply because it was the party line by the boss. Something I am sure they should not be doing. We did not elect you to bend with the wind. Not saying there wasn't opposition. I am saying that if you want to crucify Bush, you have to crucify the rest of the gang that said "yea" and any others, Republican or Democrat or Independent for not stopping it or making a serious attempt at stopping it. We have seen that they have ways and means to slip unrelated things into bills to create a "hostage situation" where you cannot go against it without that happening too. And that is my point. That every party has their own skeletons in the closet they and their supporters do not want to talk about. Is your party "cleaner" than mine? Perhaps this time but next time, my party is "cleaner" than yours. Why can't we simply be honest and say "Both are rolling in the mud". As long as we can't admit that, I will say that the problems are from YOUR side and you say they are from MY side and nothing ever gets done. As long as I toss pork to my constituents I get voted in. The rest of the world can go to hell.

The vote numbers speak to the resolution. I will leave it to others if they want to spin some other motives or actions.

Had the other congress people also done their homework, who knows what might have happened. There is plenty of blame to go around but feel free to start your own "I hate Bush" thread. It is a broken record already from you. Your hatred of Bush seems to cloud that simple fact that this thread is about something else.
