I assume you think the pregnant women should be charged with murder too. Should they be stoned?

This was a case of late term abortion from what I have read in the local news. It was gruesome and led to some serious injuries to the mother in one case. In Maryland, this is considered murder!
As to your question Kerry, the mother should be held liable under the same law!

I think the problem might be what they found in the freezer:

"A search of the clinic after the botched abortion revealed a freezer containing 35 late-term fetuses, including one believed to have been aborted at 36 weeks, the documents show."

With the medical technology we have now, babies that are born as early as 23 weeks are surviving.

Babies born at 35 or 36 weeks might not need any medical intervention at all.

If this isn't murder, I don't know what is.

Read the story...one of the fetuses found in the freezer was thought to be around 35 weeks.

If the Fox News article is accurate, then I would say that pro-choice people should run away from these two defendants as fast as they can. These prosecutions are not about choice. They are about killing babies. Please note, however, the big "if" at the beginning of my post.

If the following statement in the story is correct, no one should be running away from this:

The state law allows for murder or manslaughter charges to be brought against a person who intends to kill or seriously injure a fetus or who wantonly disregards the safety of a fetus. It does not apply to doctors administering lawful medical care and does not impinge on a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy.

The women were choosing to terminate a pregnancy, hence the law does not apply.

I couldnt find the line in the sand for fetus viability in MD but 37 weeks is considered full term. According to the article they found babys in the freezer believed to be 36 weeks old and that shoud trump the womans right to terminate I think.

Why in the hell were fetuses stored in the freezer? Shouldnt they have been discarded like other medical waste?

All human intervention to terminate a viable pregnancy is killing babies. It's just where a pro-abortionist chooses to draw the line in their own comfort zone.
