Ads with politicians bashing other politicians. As if we didn't already know that they're all a bunch of thieving liars. Now... if they were really bashing each other (fists and whatnot), I would consider paying to watch it on TV.

In the German language they don't have this issue. They have the word doktor for one who possesses some or another doctoral degree, while one who heals is an arzt.
In the Netherlands we have:
Dr. = Doctor = Phd
Drs. = Finished university, no Phd, comparable with Masters
dr. = Dokter, Physician

In Germany it is a bit more complicated,
If a man has a Doctor title, his wife is called “Frau Doctor” regardless of her education.
It is a common joke in the Netherlands that you are called doctor in Germany if you wear glasses.
