Anyone own one? I have wanted one since I was little, longer than an AK. So I'm thinking about bumping it up the list in front of the AK.
I have a mint condition S&W Model 28, I'll cut you a deal on it.

Yes. I'll be trying something like Durakote or Alumahyde or whatever I can find that has a clear finish and works best.

Reason I'm thinking a pistol is I just bought a rifle so I figure another pistol is in order.

A Beretta 92 Inox with a custom barrel and a can is another option if I want to go more modern.
I own both the Beretta and the Taurus PT-99 and the Taurus is better balanced. I qualified Sunday and you can always tell when the mag on the M-9 is starting to empty. The balance changes and the recoil pattern does too.
The Taurus is identical but better balanced.

I owned a SAA in the 1980s and they are nice. Bear in mind they are harder to shoot accurately after you're used to Pachmayr grips.

You may want to rent one and try before you commit.

That's interesting, as the Beretta and Taurus are so close in weight and both use an alloy frame.

Taurus bought the Brazilian Beretta factory if memory serves. I have shot the Taurus 92 copy and found it to be a nice gun. I like the fit and finish on the Italian made Berettas better, but the Taurus might be a better all around shooter. My centurion is better balanced than my 92 full size. It doesn't change as the magazine empties. I do get smokestacks from the Berettas in spite of new recoil springs and work on the ejectors. My Sigs ALWAYS go bang.
