Colt SAA??

Kind of thinking about picking up a new Colt SAA 7.5in barrel in .45 Colt, the Calvary model.

Anyone own one? I have wanted one since I was little, longer than an AK. So I'm thinking about bumping it up the list in front of the AK.

I can tell you without questions that AK's are more fun. I have a YouTube video of me firing mine (as an irritated Albanian) if you'd like to see it. The colt is nice if you can't frequently shoot a rifle where you live. It's easier to find a good milled receiver AK than it is to find an equally nice period Colt though. The reproductions are so nice now though that there's really no point in owning an old Colt other than as an investment.

Nah I don't want an old one, I'll go order a brand new one from Colt.

Reason I'm thinking a pistol is I just bought a rifle so I figure another pistol is in order.

A Beretta 92 Inox with a custom barrel and a can is another option if I want to go more modern.

With guns I enjoy oldies and modern tech. My favorite "modern" gun I have is my Para .45 LDA CCO double action. Really great trigger pull with a nice barrel. My favorite old handgun I have is definitely my Luger. It's a 1916 Erefurt Luger with all matching numbers. In addition it was a GI bring back so it doesn't have any electropenciling on it.

That'd be sweet!

I just picked up my first antique gun.. a Mosin Nagant M91/30. Cleaned it up last night (soaked all the metal parts in mineral spirits, cosmoline came right off). Need to buy ammo, cant wait to shoot it.

The action on it is pretty smooth for an old military Russian gun, as is the trigger pull.

I have a few cans of Bulgarian mil-surp, $0.18 a round, delivered. To feed my M39, a Finnish 91/30.

Cowboy shoots. I'm a Redskins fan, but to those Cowboys.

Most of my guns, at least the ones I'm going to keep, are older than i am. An old Colt is a good investment. I have several, my favorite is a 1917 Army in 45ACP. I don't think new Colts are worth the money, you won't start seeing any appreciation on them for 10 or more years, where the old ones are going up an easy 10%/year.
I have a Beretta 92FS Centurion and recently traded off an Italian made 92 full size. Berettas are the prettiest pistols made I think. Sadly, the ones I've owned were too finicky about ammunition. My Sigs will eat whatever I feed them without burping.

You can shoot 7.62X54R all day long for dirt cheap. Here's a photo of my Mosin. It's actually a 1917 Remington that somehow ended up in Finland for a rework.

Great rifles! I love mine.

I shoot the Russian spam cans from the 70's, here is how you decode them.

You should also get a Swiss K31. Once you go Swiss you won't go back, the quality is so far above what other countries were putting out at the time.

I'd buy a Swiss Luger before a German one. The Swiss Luger's are made better and in better shape. Also I want a P210 badly, P210's are nail drivers.

I'm not a revolver person myself, but if I were I would be more interested in something like that than a modern revolver. I want that 12 size watch thats next to it.

The P210 isn't a nail driver. It's a tack, no wait, a BRAD driver.
Those MosinNagants, man there must be a bottomless pit of them somewhere. I can still pick them up here locally for under a hundred bucks but they are wildly popular. I guess it's because they're easy to strip and cheap to shoot. A good beginner rifle maybe. Sure ain't cause they're rare or especially pretty.

I like wheel guns, but I'd sure take that old Colt over a new one, in a heartbeat. Watch is nice, but I'd bust it if I carried it and I don't need any more dust collectors.

I now have 25 guns and am in the process of purchasing an 1895 Nagant revolver which is on layaway at Cabelas. I'll pick it up in a couple of months probably. Money's just too tight right now to complete the deal as quick as I'd like. The next gun I'd like to buy would be a Ruger Single six or single ten in 22LR. But that wont be happening for a long time to come, if ever given their prices and my surplus cash.
