A $2 tube of Super Glue saves me a $500 service call on my color copier.

I was intoxicated once and decided to fix my desk. I fixed it but also superglued my checkbook to the hardwood floor...and the bottle of superglue to the back of my hand. Lesson: Don't drink and DIY

Years before I was born, my great grandfather broke a tooth, and fixed it with airplane cement. Needless to say, he inadvertently got high. Superglue is awesome, we built a scale model of the Brooklyn Bridge and used lots of superglue!!

Once I stupidly decided to carry a tube of it in my front pants pocket. The tube split and the glue went everywhere. I had to try to...

You know what? Nevermind. Let's leave it at "I have glued my fingers together".

So what your saying is that Super Glue was able to stop the severe Anal Seepage from that obnoxious business?

I keep a tube in each of my toolboxes, as well as one in the junk drawer in the kitchen, and another in the first aid kit. I've used it a number of times to glue deep cuts back together instead of going out for stitches.

Many years ago I arranged with a veterinary friend to do a discount-off-the-books neuter job on my then-girlfriend's dog. He was an energetic terrier mix and in exchange for the discount, I scrubbed in to assist. My strongest memory of the procedure was that even though the little guy was anesthetized, when the doc was tugging on his jewels, you could tell the pain/sensitivity was getting through. (My own boys sucked up pretty good while observing -- heck, they're doing a little of that right now just remembering it.)

At any rate, later that night he managed to get one of the stitches out and I called the vet friend. She recommended super glue, which we used. She did caution me to be sure to wear plastic or latex gloves, because I didn't want my fingers glued to...well, you get the idea.

It did the job, though.
