I am not sure....

I am finished now. They got one small polyp. It all went just fine. I drove myself home and got some bread on the way. I am feeling as good as I ever do at the moment.

The only thing about doing the procedure asleep was, I kind of wanted to watch it on their big screen Tee Vee. Did you get to watch? I may do the next one sans dope. Glad yours went well. One teensy polyp is nothing. I had three, all small and all benign, but because they were three, I have to go back in 3 instead of 5 years.

I'm supposed to have my COMPLETE physical later this year...the 40 year old one where they shove fingers up the rump. I'm not looking forward to that either.

i keep telling my wife that she'll have to get me drunk beforehand.

Nothing to a basic prostate check. Now when a surgeon or uroligist does it it tends to be a little more invasive in my opinion. The higher the count the more invasive as well.

The average doctor feels for superficial irregularities while the surgeon or uroligist wants to feel for more impacted tumour material in my opinion. Also if your prostate count is low chemically the test tends to be just more of a formality.

A friend of mine complained bitterly once. He said he experienced major discomfort. I noticed a real shift in his facial expression when I asked him if he watched and was he sure the surgeon was not gay.

The rectal and lower bowel check is a case of them working where the sun does not shine. Someone has to do it I suppose.

Tom, without pictures it is just not the same.

My first prostate exam, the doc was a real joker. After he finished, he said "you're gonna be a big hit in prison." The two tests are genuine life savers and there's nothing to either one of them. Anyone who knows anyone who has had colorectal or prostate cancer and puts them off is a fool. I'm not a big doctor fan, but this is the real deal.

I watched as much as I wanted. About 2/3 of the way through I had seen enough.

I recommend doing it wo anesthetic though. Not too bad. Uncomfortable but not painful. the thought of it is the worst. The doc stood next to me with the controls and it looked as if he was playing a video game. I made the observation and he said, yeah it was about like that.

He gave me a running dialogue....this is the bumfark (or some medical term), the next landmark will be the dumbfark....etc....this is the intersection of your large and small intestine.....I felt like he was a tour guide.

I made a lot of faces but it really was not bad at all.

I got up about fifteen minutes after coming out and drove my dodge home with my travel trailer attached (don't ask why).
