Some of the hudson pickups had basically the cars interior with a bed behind it. Classy more than utilitarian as many trucks where in my opinion.

Pre cursor to vehicles like the ford rachero and others. Hudson was a notch quality wise above much of the competition. I think there somewhat unorthodox styling eventually caught up with them.

They ran oil bath clutches and high nickle content blocks. My father had a forty six or seven I remember well just after the second world war. In the early fifties they dominated stock car racing for awhile.

1937 Utility coupe. Pickup box rolled out the back , though this one is either a clone or has the wrong rear left fender. You can tell because the gas filler was in the fender not the body on a commerial car.

Here are some photos of a few International pickups we had. The 35 was an early production date if you look at the stick shift you will notice enters the floor up close to the firewall on the bellhousing hump. Later production was mounted on the flat part of the floor (trans changes). The 35 had wood framing in the cab , this one was from Kansas , solid body but the wood was turning to powder.

The 47 was a KB1 with a "Knox box". came from down south and had about 20K original miles on it. My bother Did a repaint , wiring and some other things .

We sold both a few years back. http://rides.webshots.com/album/558913446uaoFLs

36 is a smaller truck , and at first glace looks the same. the differences are , among others , suicide doors , fender mounted headlites & smaller narrower cab and box.

yes, very rare. All early Hudson (Terraplane) pickups or panels are cut down sedans done at the factory.

Yet more demonstration that 1938 was a banner year for US car styling.

Did you mean 1933? If so I agree. some of the very nicest designs were at the beginning of the depression (1932/1933). If you actually meant 1938 , it was also a good year just not as impressive as the early 30's IMHO.
