In a very high percentage of cases, it seems to me that pro-life= pro-patriarchy.

My wife spends a decent amount of time on FB, that would be the closest equivalent to an OD for her. She has a number of different 'groups' that she follows but no real specific forums.

Pro-life is what confuses me. Whose life? Mothers? Fetus'? As a side note, it seems to me that a lot of pro-life people I know are big time capital punishment proponents. Seems to me, if all life is sacred and has value, the death penalty is as much murder as abortion.

I prefer pro-choice, and anti-choice.
Precisely.

The so called pro-life people tend to be the same who consistently vote against social programs for the poor as well. "You can't abort that fetus, but we damn sure aren't going to help financially or socially as you try to raise it." Unless you count putting people behind bars a social program.

No abortions
More prisons
Capital punishment.

One of these things is not like the others

I would say all three of those things are closely related. The common theme is a strong view on authority, especially the authority of males. Someone has violated authority in all those instances.

The appreciation of life wouldn't be as high as someone who didn't go through with an abortion, IMHO.

However, we have idiots on both sides of the thought, that don't take responsibility for their own actions.

I'm not familiar with any evidence that would support that view. Are you?

How about we leave this choice up to the women?

Is there part of IMHO you missed?

Tree huggers say that loggers don't appreciate trees as they do.

Animal rights activists say that hunters don't appreciate animals as they do.

I say that those that abort babies don't appreciate children as I do.

So an audience primarily of rich men can argue how to control the female population...seems legit.

No, I saw IMHO. Why do you think opinions shouldn't be or aren't correlated with evidence?

Nobody here has yet mentioned the catch-phrase "Adoption Not Abortion" as a possible viable alternative.

So I will.

Without it, I would not be here today.

Life has been very good to me. My parents that adopted me as a newborn had waited 7 years to find me, and gave me every chance in life at great cost to themselves, and loved me as life itself. And I was told by them that I was truly a "wanted" child.

So I am blessed beyond measure and will never move from that view.
