Didn't realize I was talking to you. Glad you decided that I was, because it was an open post to the haters.

The first step is to admit you have a problem.

btw- If you had listened to the song which those lyrics were quoted from, you may have come away with a different understanding. But that's not what haters do.

I hate everybody, regardless of religion, color, or creed. Whites, blacks, yellows, browns...everybody.

F'm if they can't take a joke.

However, I find it odd that someone would try to combat what they perceive as hatred with hatred. Isn't that a bit mindless?

The ridicule won't make it nonexistent.

The conclusory assumptions drawn by the alleged author of the letter tell you more about the author -- and his/her bias -- than anything else.

It does exemplify much that has gone wrong with our society. For far too many people, the minute they find out someone's perspective on one thing, they lump them all in together. What? You don't agree with Obama on ________________? Well, you must be a racist, war-mongering RWNJ who probably believes in that ridiculous Jesus and wants all women barefoot and pregnant and keeping the house, you must hate blacks, lesbians, Muslims, gays, blah, blah, blather.

And yes, it goes both ways.

But how does labeling and criticizing get us anywhere down the road? This is the same BS that our so-called representatives are doing in Washington, pointing fingers and calling names.

After the dust settles, we're still in the same place.

And aside from some residual bitterness, the only difference is that we're just covered with dust.

More election year drivel. Gotta stir up the base and get them to the polls.

This type of crap coming from both sides - and people wonder why I've written off both major parties as far as offering anything worthwhile.

It perhaps would have been enough to just tell the RWNJs and others that want to vote Republican,

You can keep on delivering corporate welfare to the special interests who have bribed them, if you vote Republican.

I think that people that don't vote, even for reasons like that stated above, ought to forfeit their right to complain about the state of things, and should instead go and watch "Dancing With the Stars" on commercial television, or do what it takes to enjoy whatever measure of happiness they can get in their lives.

The important thing is to categorize the opposition and then blame the opposition for whatever occurs.

It doesn't matter which side the "opposition" really is.

Oh, I'll end up voting all right - it just won't be for BO or Willard.

When enough people finally realize that voting for a third alternative isn't "wasting" your vote - but making your voice heard in expressing your displeasure with the two main choices - then, perhaps, there's a chance for shaking things up a bit.
