A couple of years ago one of my nieces was flying home from college for Christmas. There were no direct flights and one required a terminal change, so she passed through security in a couple of different domestic airports.
When she arrived home she was emptying out her backpack (which she carried on) and did a double-take. At the bottom of her backpack was her suture kit, complete with scalpel, replacement blades, needles and a few other odds and ends. Went through security just fine... |

TSA is a joke. A ton of money pissed away for a figment of security.
Heck, most of the TSA screeners seem like more of a security risk than the people they are screening. And Newark is a hole, I pity the fool has to fly in/out/or through there.

Quote:
(a) it caters to a lot of impatient business travellers, so TSA keeps the line moving along well, and security isn't much stricter than pre-9/11. (b) it's 15 min cab ride from my home (c) you get an awesome view of NYC when taking off and flying west ![]() |
