Gettin' out

Gang,
I've decided that there's too many irons in the fire to also keep a fleet of 30 year old cars on the road so, I'm selling off the herd of runners, beaters and parts cars.

If you are in central Texas and are somewhat interested in adding to your collection, I'm your huckleberry.

PM me for details.

Leo my friend, I know where you are coming from. Just let the trivial stuff, like cars, go. You WILL be much happier, trust me. Take care my friend.

Yep, as I'm fond of saying.............nobody wrenches forever.

I gave up one of the SDL's last week............the handwriting is on the wall for me as well............maybe another five years or so.

It'll be sad to see you without the fleet.............

Bill, you are absolutely correct.

Man, out here at the farm all I do is fix broken s*it...all the time! I have a perpetual list of things to do that must be 45-60 items....and that's just the big stuff. It's not the zillion little things like driving around with a shovel and a bucket digging up the prickly pears that have sprung up from last year when we drove around with a shovel and a bucket digging up the prickly pears that sprung up from the year before that...

I tried to get fired up about putting SWMBO's 300D back on the road but toot-sweet got to the point of resenting every turn of the wrench. I just won't live my life that way.

It's been a great ride but, I'm selling all this Mercedes hardware and rolling stock and buying me a CR-V that doesn't smell like wet towel storage in a locker room and has a working a/c.

That's the reason why we have an 85, a 99 and a 2011. Diversification.

But you can never leave! "

Randy, bet you will still turn your head when you hear the distinctive sound of a turbo 617.

All the best,

Cheers,

You will like the CRV Randy. Have you narrowed the year down yet?

You are the second person I've run accross in the past few weeks that is liquidating and getting out of messing with old Mercedes cars.
