I thought it was an interesting issue. Never thought of it (not a guys issue) but seeing the picture and hearing why she wants too it makes sense. We hear woman and we automatically seem to assume she needs a top. With out her breasts and seeing her shirt hair she could pass for a male some what easily. But as she said, because she is a female there is a different standard.

I'm glad the Seattle Parks and Recreation Dept changed their mind and allowed her to swim. I think this country is far to uptight about sex anyway and perhaps she will be able to chip away at that phobia as well.

Hey, there are more than a few guys that should not be allowed out in public without a shirt or top . . . just sayin' . . .

Why not make the display of any nipples (regardless of whom they're attached to {*}) legal? It's legal in NY state, not always obeyed by NYPD unfortunately.

{*} - OK, maybe if they're attached to fembots they should stay illegal. But that's generally covered under firearms laws already.

You have no idea the impact on women and their families when they get breast cancer and go thru reconstruction, some women elect not to. The association of the female as a nurturing life source starts and ends with the breast. A woman's identity as this life source begins and ends with the breast. Once that identity is cut off, literally, everything changes. Are women still women without breasts? How would you act or react if you saw a topless woman (without tata's) at a pool or on the beach?

I know a lot of people make here make jokes about a lot of things. I'm not sure this should be one of those times. Seems like he equivalent of making fun of soldiers dying in combat or kids who are sick. As Mistress said, most guys have no idea what it's like.

I also do not think having a bunch of guys cracking jokes about a very private and painful womans issue does much for mens reputation in general. Makes us look more like that stupid SOB in MI legislature offended by the word "Vagina".

Have at it if you must but it just seems wrong to me.

Thanks dave for the reminder of this sensitive topic but I can't tell you how many ladies I know who have had breast cancer, use humor as a way to deal with it. One friend of mine, actually joked after reconstruction that her new tata's much better than old olds...

. . . and nearly all health insurance plans cover the reconstruction surgery and "rebalancing" if necessary.

I definitely understand the use of humor as a coping mechanism. I guess I put this in the same category as talking about ones mother. I can call her a ***** but I'd be a bit perturbed if you do it.

A woman making a joke to cope is somewhat different than me making a joke in an effort to be funny. Perhaps it's just me.
