THAT WAS THE POINT OF THE THREAD. I guess it was fleshed out. Too bad many take things out of hand or take it too far. And, I think Larry is right, -- if one makes any comments negative or those comments that appear negative against B.O., well that person needs a little talking to. Nice !

So are you ready to take a position on the issue, since you've been given some information and pointed in the right direction to find out more of your own? Or are you content to remain a number 3, like those Republicans who "don't know" where Obama was born, "don't know" whether he's a christian or not ?

Larry, would YOU care to take a position on this or are you just here to make your usual silly generalizations about liberals?

So much easier to refuse to take a side and play victim instead.

Here's a dare for you two:

"Barry Soetoro" is an April fool's prank that got believed by a few Obama haters and went viral to all the others who'd happily accept complete nonsense as long as it fits their prejudice.

Prove me wrong.

I bet B.O. would not tolerate this being the "community activist" that he is. I bet ACORN would come to your rescue to help the little voice in the crowd.

What if he just said "I don't know" or "I don't have enough to make a reasoned decision on the issue?" Wouldn't that have been truthful? I don't think anyone would criticize another member for acknowledging a lack of knowledge of an issue. Why, it's right up there with abstaining to post until one is prepared to take a position, but that's just an option.

Nope, I am asking you, who started this thread, what the importance of the name Barry soretoro is to you, since you have expressed great interest in it. It's the big "so what" question. Aside from the theory about his college id (which has been debunked and discussed) what is the big deal about that name to you?

He jumped to your defense in typical Larry self-persecution. I'm trying to actually have a discussion, which is why I'm asking questions. He alleges that I am trying to silence you and promote some liberal Obama agenda or something like that. He backed out because he cannot support his allegations, as usual.

Why do I have to take a side or a position ? Why ? I can be on the fence or is that not an acceptable response ? Or, does that make me a "victim" or "cry baby"? I wonder if that fits into the B.O. agenda, that is, one must take a position.

Unless I agree that this is hogwash, a hoax, teaparty nonsense, then I guess I am something which is less than desirable. Your pals on the forum have just proved virtually every point you wanted to make as I look thru the past posts and threads. That was not my intended goal, but it was nice picking it up on the way. You should put your trophy on the shelf and enjoy it !

The day I started this post is actually the very first day I ever heard of the Barry Soetoro issue. Tbat is the truth. I was super intrigued by it and still am. Not entirely sure of your position that it has been "de-bunked" et cet. I am not entirely convinced that what you claim is proof of its debunking is accurate (or not) either. Your proof is what again ? I know, someone else saying it is false. I guess because I have not fully embraced the "hoax" concept, that makes me a cry baby, a birther, et cet. I can say with 100% certainity that is what I take away from this post by the comments of those who made them. In other words, I see that unless I agree it was a hoax, then the labels are being flung.

I pointed out that this topic is typical associated with the birther movement, which is not calling you a birther. It is pointing out the origins and current climate of the topic. Your buddy Larry did most of the crying, not you. It's not an attempt to bait, I am just tying to learn your point of view where you're fascinated enough to where you want to change your screen name to it. To me that action would signal some dedication to the subject and IMO if you changed it youd be fielding questions left and right about it.

To some degree, it's a legally binding contract though. Everything in theory can be reduced to mere hearsay if you break it down enough.

Your being fresh to the issue, puts you at a disadvantage in this case. You are somewhat open minded about it, but the libs here have had months or years to prepare their defense on the issue. The defense might be solid, or it might not, but they will NOT back down when it comes to defending their "can never do wrong B.O," or should that be "can never be wrong Soetoro?"
