I've never been one to hide my beliefs on this board or anywhere else in my life. In my house, we pray for the sick and afflicted, pray for the government and our country, and pray for strength to continue on each day. We also thank God for all that He's given us...the food on the table, the shelter above our heads, and the air we breathe.

I guarantee that I'm not the only on this board to feel as I do.

I think it is important to differentiate creationists from so-called "Young Earth Creationists". Creationists IMO are generally pretty easygoing in that they believe that their deity is responsible for the universe but don't get their knickers twisted up trying to strictly pigeonhole the universe into anyone's exact interpretation of the Genesis narrative and Bible as if it were a detailed chronology of the initiation of our existence. There is not much in current scientific theory and knowledge that is incompatible with the possible existence of some supreme being. Many YE Creationists on the other hand become hostile at the suggestion that the Earth is more than a few thousand years old. YE Creationist dogma cannot be reconciled against much of current scientific theory and knowledge; and therefore, each represent a threat to the other.

And try to get off the kick that I an trying to make myself 'feel bigger' than you. I have simply been asking you questions, because much of what you have been posting is foreign to me. My self esteem is functioning fine, and I apologize if yours is not.

As for faith, I possess a very strong faith. It's just that my faith does not come with a silly book or churches, and I interpret my faith on my own terms.
