I saw it in one of the newer adds.

It must be true.

How did I become part of the problem simply because I became aware of this? I have no proof that he is cheating the system, but he sure will have proof that I wrote a letter if I do what you suggest.

Posting on the interweb is one thing, but sending multiple letters accusing someone of fraud is something else.

The irony is, that the guy would probably find an attorney to sue me for slander and defamation of charcter, Thereby, reducing that amount of time I have to earn money to send to the govt so that they can give people like this a handout. So, in effect, what you suggest would likely be counterproductive in the grand scheme of things.
I did it the cowardly way, and it worked. You don't need to put your name on everything. That's downright foolish.
All I did was cause him to be rightly investigated, and it worked.
I didn't put his name in the papers.

It is in fact your duty, especially if you are going to complain about it and rail about higher taxes supporting these people.

You are part of the problem by becoming aware of it and doing nothing, if you are sure of it, yes similar to being aware of a child molestor, if you are sure of it.
If not, and you are just being told of a hearsay story, then say so.

Nope, Ericsson is the current owner of the "naming rights" to the stadium. Guess Charlotte got a better deal from them than Bank of India.

Just like they sold the naming rights to Charlotte Motor Speedway to Lowes - and now try to call it Lowes Motor Speedway.

Horses***.

It was Charlotte Motor Speedway for decades. That's how you can tell a native that grew up here, from one of those idiot NY transplants that have moved in here over the last 15 years - a transplant will call it Lowes Motor Speedway, a native will still call it Charlotte Motor Speedway.

That's the trouble - there is none. When you point to your opponent's $16T money pit, you better be able to show a way out. Romney's problem is that his running mate killed Bowles-Simpson, the most workable plan we had in 10 years. A calculating mind would say that it would have handed the Democrats another win. He can't cite his Republican predecessors' records for fixing the budget, since they also ran up the national tab. He didn't work any miracles in Massachusetts either.

So.... from this it sounds as if your solution is to stay with the guy who has run up debt at the fastest rate, has fewer people working than when he started and who failed on his promise to cut the deficit in half and increased it instead?

Or it sounds like,as President Clinton stated, `We left him a total mess. He hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so fire him and put us back in.''

What a perfect line. BTW, I don't recall George W. Bush roiling the crowds at the RNC. Where was he?

I don't know, but at least his brother Jeb said he still loved him.

President Bush had announced several weeks before the convention that he was not going to attend. His presence would not have added to or benefited the current candidates in either the local congressional races or the presidency since even the party has had to come to grips with deficit spending and the collapse of the economy happening on their watch.

At one time in my life I was broke, and even though I had marketable skills, the economy turned and I wasn't prepared. I found out the hard way that when you don't have something in your pocket, you have very little to bargain with. Now, when I see this country going down the same path, I get scared - not for me but for my kids and the younger generation. I want to see a plan, from either side, that doesn't kick the can down the road.

Sounds like a very reasonable request. I too would like to see a plan.

If Obama would hire Clinton as his COS and sign a pledge to let Bill make all executive decisions without interference, then, and only then would I consider voting for him.

Problem is, Clinton is pragmatic. Obama is petulant. Clinton would get $hit done with Boehner. Obama most likely won't.

BTW, Clinton's history of debt growth ended in 2008...didya notice?

I would not agree. The people in power have changed since Bill was in office. Just look at the effects of redistricting over the past 10-12 years. We now have voting districts that are predominantly party differentiated, which results in fewer candidates who have a constiuency that may have differing views from their party, or accept a candidate who is willing to compromise, trade or deal.
