"Subtle" the Brits raised the art of subtle insults to high art some time past. They would smile and appear quite amiable while cutting each others' throats (verbally). At least with the direct approach, you know where you stand.

Sure there's a polite way to do it. Politicians do it all the time. Instead of calling someone a liar, they call them disengenuous.

Hmmm.... so I made a joking comment to a previous post that had NOTHING to do with me, and you come out of it feeling that you are justified in DIRECTLY INSULTING me?

I find it interesting that you say that I am the one who is "plain stupid," but YOU misspell "plain" as "plan." Very interesting.

This is a perfect example of what people are talking about regarding your posts. You post had everything to do with you because you were complaining that I called you a liar. You implied that I could have used the term disingenuous instead. You insult people here all the time and when your feet get held to the fire you cry like a baby. You insulted me by implying that I endorsed rape but for the sake of argument, lets assume that I do not. You knew when you wrote it that your statement was an insult and misrepresented my POV. I consider that a lie and you do it over and over again.

I already pointed this out to engatwork after you went crying to him about your hurt feelings.

Sometimes people say things that are at variance with fact. That is not necessarily a lie as a lie goes to intent, not merely being wrong.

Take for example, my field. People publish things all the time that they believe are valid but later turn out to be incorrect. Heck, science is is not about 'truth', it's about 'best explanation'. This is lying?

So you THINK that your mind reading skills are so accurate that you know what I was responding to? You must be quite impressed with yourself.

Are YOU a politician? I even specifically said "POLITICIANS" call it disengenuous. Learn something new every day. What political office do you hold? Are you so hung up on yourself that you think that every post I make is about YOU?

And YES, any time someone posts a DIRECT INSULT toward me, I will press that triangle at the upper left EVERY TIME. By the same token, I expect them to press it in the event that I post a DIRECT INSULT.
