Good post - I'll go along with that. I dunno, I guess I thought you were dissing the guy as part of the common 'let's dump on Algore and Ralph Nader for being the enemy of all that is good and proper.' Every time it snows, someone somewhere (or several 10s of thousands of someones) say something like 'thanks Algore.'

I'm far more down on Al, whom I believe to be a shallow opportunist and not awfully bright. That is opposite of what I think of Nader. I would vote for Nader before Al, despite his much leftier philosophy. Nader is predictably trustworthy. Al not so much.

Gore does have the problem of apparently not practicing what he preaches, that and rampant economic opportunism. That and his wooden campaign of '00 are not endearing.
