Some days are better than others

My youngest son's gifted testing result came back. The school district, IMHO, does all it can to not test students who are advanced- it means if they are then they are required to give them challenging courses. It costs more and that takes away money from other programs. Of course lawsuits (not from me however) have forced the school to test anyways. My son was finally tested after 4 years and scored a 99.69% for intellectual capacity in his age group. His reading comprehension level is 12.2; meaning he reads as the average 12th grader. His other scores were very elevated. He's in fourth grade. We took him out to dinner and ice cream.
My middle son was accused of "beating" on his roommate during a off campus multi-day school trip. The boy is 20 pound heavier than my son and has 7 years of martial arts training- my son has zero training. School district police "interviewed" my son, the boy, and the other roommate. Both my son and the other boy were cleared of all accusations, and the principal wrote a letter stating so.

Life is good today.
