.......if I'm reading the tea leaves correctly.....add in the illegals voting block for more handouts, and we're beyond the point of no return - one-party ruling. Mexico seems to be the role model where we're heading.

Many Christians seem to be voting against self-reliance in lieu of bigger Gov't provided everything, these days - much to the demise and detriment of the Country.

WTF is "the illegals voting block"?
Gotta love these throwaways, like they're a given or something.

Just a healthy concern because of the increasing number of jabs, slights, and insults towards us Christains. It's very clear that the current agenda by our current "leader" is not so friendly to the Faith. Rather, there seems to be a clear bending over backwards for our islam brothers. I wonder why? For example, the agenda to create a seperate sharia law court is alive in the USA, but I wonder what would happen if our consitutional scholar of a president caught wind of a Canon Law Court being created in the USA? And, we all know what B.O. does if you do not waive the hope and change banner ... one gets targeted by the IRS, DOJ, and the list goes on. 2014 is coming up. If the Republicans, or any party for that matter, can effectively promise more gifts and handouts to the intended audience who coincidentially is also the voting majority, then that party will win. B.O. proved that in 2012.
You sound like the kid that goes whining to dad because the mean old dog bit him. What that kid doesn't tell Dad is that he has been throwing stones at it for the last few years. Seriously? If you really told the WHOLE story, perhaps it wouldn't sound as pitiful as it does because it really makes me wanna cry.

Have you forgotten the "Blue Laws"? Or how about the Constitutional amendment concerning alcohol? How about sticking your nose in abortion and gays? Now you are "concerned" because a President is not friendly, or simply going to rubber stamp whatever that sad faith of yours wnts?

I believe that figure relates to what religion one "identifies" with, rather than actively practice. With regard to perceived "hostility" towards a faith, it seems more like a reaction to having to make room for other beliefs that is the cause.

What exactly would be the evidence on which one would base the opinion that there is an afterlife and that good/bad deeds will be rewarded/punished? From what I can observe about the world around me, the only methods by which good/bad deeds are either rewarded or punished is from the social institutions created by humans. Absent human intervention, the universe doesn't seem to care in the slightest for human moral choices.

I'll say it is true but it doesn't stop one from fantasizing that there is a wonderful and caring being that gives a rat's ass about us. Just because you imagine that there is a warm fire place and hot soup waiting for you once you get out of the frozen tundra doesn't mean that it has to be there.

Perhaps then, this would explain why so many are so wanting to believe that the Government is the only entity of record that will meet their temporal fantasies? The Spirit In The Sky would have a hard time keeping-up with tangible handouts here and now from the Gov't., if this is the case. Which begs the Q; Do some religious people believe more in their Government, than their religion?

There are BEAUCOUP religious people that look for handouts. Many of them also believe that they are good Christians. There are zillions of people who sit on the front pew every Sunday that only think they are good Christians. Often because they hear false teachings while sitting there that lead them astray.

Not sure if I got the link correctly, but here's a starter which examines our states and their appellate courts. If the link stinks, I believe I got at least the site correct and from there you can find the pdf document. From the sounds of it, sure sounds like a "reality" but then again I could be off point as usual according to some ...

Somewhat funny and I strongly suggest you apply for a job with the Whitehouse ... you're almost as good as Robert Gibbs and Jay Carney for the spin and distractions ... but the facts, history, and "truth" always seem to hinder so many ... BUT, I would certainly advocate for you in a slot to pick up the slack for Gibbs and Carney.

As to believing in a deity, who says they can't ask from both?
