Also being thought of as a serious person who thinks before acting will promote a feeling of trust with our allies.

Being feared because of our strength of character is good too...as opposed to being feared because one is erratic and unpredictable.

Yesterday he said that no one is more war weary than he was. I am sure that if you were paying respects to a son, daughter, brother, sister, cousin, close friend, or neighbors grave who was lost in Afghanistan, or on o tour over there and it was not your first than you would be more war weary the he is! Always interjecting himself into a subject to get some sympathy when it suits him. I am sorry I left out if you were were visiting a parents, or spouse's grave that would most likely be the most war weary. He should appolagize for that.

Why do people expect and accept an "apology" as a way to erase the transgresson? The person giving the apology is never is truly sorry for their behavior. However, they feel the need to give an apology to stifle the criticism. Surprisingly, it usually works.

Why should an apology work? The person isn't sorry (never sorry in politics).

Personally, I never accept an apology from a politician. The original behavior shows their true persona. The apology doesn't change that fact.

Political jabering from the Repubs because he has an action to deal with is the rub ,Bush had his Arena for weapons of mass destruction , wmd ,remember those.
