You just don't get it tom. Any news any where on any news network, no matter how trivial or unrelated, if it isn't about how bad Obama is, is automatically trying to distract us as part of the main stream media illuminati liberal conspiratorial grand high poobah radical lawn hating coverup.

Its all very clear when you know what to look for. Why this morning, I was watching the local pretty weather and traffic girls give local traffic and weather reports on the tv, which was obviously a cover for Obama, to distract us from his aspirations to the throne of mankind.

So none of that breathless stuff, not to mention hot looking blonds on Fox is meant to distract from the rights fundamental problem right now....lack of useful solutions to any of the problems of people not in their favored demographic?

Well none of it works for me. I don't watch any of it. I get all my hard news here on the forum! (actually a little true but meant as a joke. I read the local news in the paper and listen to NPR and get about all I can stand)

I suppose from the position of a radical "blind laws to restrict everyone else but me, and be damned to the constitution" that you adhere to, anything that doesn't pander to your extremely specific and dangerous point of view isn't middle of the road. I'm surprised you can even tolerate fox news, much too liberal for a radical like yourself.

So do YOU have a better explanation for 15 minutes of Justin Bieber on CNN?

Easy answer, his ridiculous antics are newsworthy, people love to hate, and hate to love the little SOB. for better or worse, hes a story.

He makes good copy for all those people, a 15 minute segment on him strikes me as about average for a 24/7 news channel trying to fill the day (Although 15 minutes is awful long, id say 5 is plenty). Even with everything in the world going on, that level of on air coverage will produce fluff pieces to fill out the entire day, past the actual newsworthy news.

Same reason the local news this morning spent 10 minutes discussing what the today show this morning spent 10 minutes doing- talking to some shmo who is trying to beat Ellen's retweet record, as if that were something anyone, anywhere cares about. Instead of the conspiracies you constantly see, try thinking about how these people have to sometimes scrape the barrel to keep the news running. Beiber is an easy go to, I saw something that was making fun of his tattoos recently, again, hes an easy news target because he evokes some kind of emotion in most people. be it rage for most adults, or adoration if you are a 13 year old girl
