When I was in the Army in Germany for anyone living in the Barracks all privately owned Firearms were locked in the Arms Room and when you wanted to use it you had to file some forums to get it out.


Where I was the only Guards Armed where Arms Room and the Ammo Dump Guards (Ammo Dump was not in the same Facility).

I have seen Military Police who were Armed but We had none where I was Based.

On my ship we had a Barney Fife approach -- in port there was a sailor on the quarterdeck with a pistol but the mag was kept on the belt.

Sailors could have private firearms aboard for E-4 and above. I had a .22 High Standard auto. Each weapon was registered with the ship and locked up in an armory with the ammo stored separately.

Marines carried all kind of shyte from sidearms to mortars. They were locked-up, too. I think we locked the marines up separately, but that was understandable.

Bet rules ail have to change a bit when we get personal rail guns.

So, now let me be sure I understand.... on a military base where people are trained to handle arms safely and to kill with them, people are not trusted to carry around arms but all kinds of folks demand the privaledge of carrying around weapons in the general public? ...with no training whatever required?

That's not what diesel said. We were not allowed to carry our personal firearms. For certain duty, certain people carried weopons, sometimes even with a live magazine of live rounds in place, but no round in the chamber.

Like diesel said, if you had say a skeet gun, it was locked up and you checked it out when you went to the skeet range.

...its an interesting read. I don't see it as supporting him as being connected with any larger terrorist group....unless you see being Islamic as automatically making you a terrorist.

So what kind of "facts" do you want? Only those who have a reason to be in denial over the issue believe it was not Islamic terrorist related. I'm not in denial. The fact that the crooked administration called it "workplace violence" is despicable.
