Do you really think it likely that the Tea Party man will win the general election?

I dunno. Virginia is usually red, his district anyway.

ABSOLUTELY! The left will say that people on the right can't be elected without moving to the left. I wonder if they say that because they don't want any honest competition?

And tonight, the voters judged Cantor for all of his hard work to make sure that no hard work could ever be done.

Yes, having representatives from the rank and file rather than from the existing establishment is exactly what we need...., on BOTH sides of the aisle. The DC insiders are killin' us.

Now if we could have been this lucky in the case of that leftist republican Lindsey Graham....

He is in a very conservative district. Unless he makes a gaff he's a shoe in. Keeps another democrat out of office and since the guy isn't a dc insider, it might do a little good.

The Republican Party is in disarray, and when there is chaos, there is opportunity. I'm looking forward to the 2016 Presidential campaign, where the Republican's intra-party fighting will result in an unusually conservative slate of candidates who will dourly inform America that it is time to swallow an array of bitter pills including the rollback of Obamacare; rollback of any semblance of immigration reform; rollback of benefits for the elderly and infirm, etc. Naturally, the elderly and Latino voters will come out in droves to support such a platform...

I heard on a news segment that Cantor spent 5mil and the winner spent 100K. That is a 50:1 ratio. Now Cantor will go on to making real money as a lobbyist.
Great system we have here.

That would be the equivalent to picking up another seat in my opinion.

Cantor was often portrayed as an antagonist to Mr. Orange skin. I don’t know how accurate of a portrayal that was. No real surprise the primary went as it did.

The last presidential election demonstrated very clearly that the problems with the right wing will not be resolved by moving around the proverbial deck chairs. Unfortunately most involved in right wing politics are both too conceited and too stupid to acknowledge this little detail.

IMO the right wing issues will not be resolved in any event, until at least most of the general public have forgotten what GWB and his gang of morons did to the USA. Like it or not, people such as Paul Ryan and Boehner are widely perceived as long lasting and fully benighted echoes of the same ideological garbage that lead to the Great Recession and then the party of “No.”

Fukem all.

Maybe. But the Conservative message is ALWAYS positive. Reducing government frees all who are looking for opportunity. The future is bright. We have nearly limitless energy resources if only we want to use them. Full employment is possible. All given that we have leadership.
